To determine if you are eligible, fill out the online request form.
Timing of Response
It helps us if you respond at least two weeks prior to the court date the officer gave you when you were issued the ticket. If you meet the requirements of the program, we will then, depending on your preference, either mail or email you a CATS Program Agreement and a volunteer time sheet.
Agreement Details
The Agreement will contain the exact terms of the CATS Program, including the deadline for submitting payment, the date for the traffic safety course, and the deadline for completion of the volunteer hours. Once you sign and submit the Agreement and/or the program fee, you will then be officially enrolled in the program.
Enrollment
After you are enrolled, we ask the Judge to continue your court date to give you time to complete the CATS Program. If you have completed each requirement on or before the deadline listed in the Agreement, you may never have to appear in court. However, if you fail to complete a requirement on or before the deadline, you must appear in court. Upon completion of all the requirements, we will ask the Judge to dismiss your citation.
