Sandy L. Watkins became interested in the environment and recycling at an early age. As Henderson County Judge Executive, knowing the importance of a clean environment, Sandy has made great efforts in cleaning up numerous illegal dump sites throughout Henderson County and has created a recycling center which has had to be expanded twice since its inception.
Literally speaking, Sandy practices what he preaches. He has become an avid gardener and uses compost from his own backyard compost pile in his vegetable and flower gardens. |
